Donovan Rall is the winemaker behind Rall wines. He started in 2008 with a parcel from the Swartland region in South Africa, a region known for its old vines and dry farming. His first Chenin based white wine received five stars, the highest rating, from South Africa’s Platter’s Wine Guide.
Donovan aims to work organically and farms 15 hectares of vines himself. His core wines Rall White and Rall Red have been made since the beginning. All of his wines are fermented with indegenous yeast.
