Simha means lion in Sanskrit. The domaine was started by Nav Singh and Louise Radman in Hobart, Tasmania. Husband and wife are a micro négociant, purchasing grapes from long term growers to make small batches from Derwent Valley. Prior to starting his own winery, Nav worked at: Domaine de l’Arlot, Château Le Pin, Vieux Château Certain and Château d’Yquem. Winemaking is with a light touch guided by the biodynamic calen-dar. All grapes are harvested on a lower or fruit day. Whole bunch-es are used for the entire production, which is fermented with ambient yeasts. All wines are unined and uniltered with minimal sulphur dioxide.
