Tasting Notes
Tasted blind at the Sauternes 2011 horizontal tasting. The Château de Fargues 2011 has a slightly disjointed nose at first, although with aeration it appears to coalesce with scents of honey, almond shavings, an exotic hint of marzipan and just a touch of mandarin. The palate is well balanced with a keen line of acidity, well balanced and poised with a noticeable spicy finish that just tapers in slightly, yet there is genuine persistence and breeding here.'
