Sons of Eden was established in 2000 by viticulturalist Simon Cowham and winemaker Corey Ryan and is named after their experiences working in the Eden Valley. Together they have received a five red-star rating from James Halliday for ten consecutive years. They are also part of the Artisans of Barossa group of eight independently family-owned businesses producing small batch wines in the Barossa Valley.
Simon sources grapes from 30 sites that they manage directly or work with generational grape growers that are all sustainably managed. Their hands-off approach starts in the vineyard with minimal inputs with the view to pass healthy vineyards onto future generations. In the winery, the grapes are handpicked, fermented by indigenous yeasts and are left to settle naturally before bottling.
