3 Things About Kanaan
1. Growing Grapes in Extreme Conditions
Ningxia is notoriously arid with low winter temperatures ( -20°C)requiring vine burial to protect the vines in the winter, only to dig them up in the spring. This makes growing grapes labour intensive and expensive due to inevitable annual vine loss.
2. Fang is Crazy
Fang Wang is nicknamed Crazy Fang for her boldness to start a winery with no prior experience, and for embarking on the near impossible mission of growing Riesling in Ningxia.
3. Kanaan is one of the first Chinese wines to break into international market
When Kanaan’s pretty pony and wild pony were launched in Australia, it was sold out immediately.
